  1. Nice article. For me, the choice among a lot of good MTs is the Leatherman Wave. Mainly for the convenience of four outside blades which do not require opening the tool. And another plus is that pawn shops often have Waves priced very reasonably used. I have four or five of these for that reason.

    Don’t forget to dummy cord (lanyard), you lose a lot when your multi-tool is lost. A carabiner tie point is handy along with cord – you suspend tool nearby so you don’t have to constantly pick up – put down tool. Really convenient when patching fencing for example.
