  1. I earned my Eagle back in 1997 and I don’t remember having to do half of that stuff for First Class. It’s kind of sad in a way to see the differences.

  2. It is disappointing, that’s for sure. The ray of sunshine is that the ‘old’ manuals are still out there for very reasonable prices, and any father or individual can learn/teach from them. Great preparedness information!

  3. Damn. Everyone of those skills would be important to a person with ” our perspective ” on things. Sad part is, back then kids were proud to know that stuff, now they just whine about their feelings.
