And very clearly apropos to all the ‘ban it and the problem will stop’ people out there. Heh.

A Modest Proposal
We have far too many people killed by intentional and accidental acts with these devices.Just last night there was an apparent murder and 37 people hurt, a horrifying event that is far too common. Some 30,000 people die due to accidental misuse of these things every year, and millions are hurt. The economic impact of such injuries and deaths is enormous, say much less the the heartbreak for families and friends of the fallen.
Restrictions, safety mandates and government-forced improvements have made these devices far more expensive (by more than double over the last couple of decades) and have had a decent incremental impact on accidental injury rates, but that doesn’t help when someone decides to use one of these things as a weapon, and people do. They’re everywhere; indeed, there is almost one for every person in the country; man, woman, child and infant.
Clearly we don’t need this, we can no longer tolerate this carnage and we must ban and confiscate all of these evil devices.
No, I’m not talking about guns folks.
