“On 19 February, at 6pm Pacific / 9pm Eastern, I’ll be hosting a free webinar.
I’ll be talking about Intelligence Preparation of the Community (IPC). This course is unique because there are a LOT of folks talking about preparedness, but their content on security extends the length of a rifle barrel. You can have years’ worth of stored food and supplies, but if you can’t protect it, you may not have it for long.
In this IPC webinar, I’ll be talking about using an Army planning process to analyze community security. Frankly, when we hit SHTF (if such an event occurs overnight), most in the Patriot and Prepper communities aren’t going to know exactly what to expect.
Sure, you might see gangs, mobs, rioters, looters, unorganized criminality, the Golden Horde, and maybe Big Brother. But these are just examples of threats. And this is usually the extent of intelligence done by Patriots and Preppers.
In IPC, we start by asking questions:
How many of these threats are there?
What are their force strength?
Where will they come from?
What weapons and equipment will they have?
What are their capabilities?
What are their goals?
What’s their strategy?
How can we develop early warning for these events?
Intelligence Preparation of the Community can begin answering all these questions and more. In IPC, we want to get specific, not just know what to expect but also when and where.
I don’t want to tell my community to begin preparing for an increase in crime. As an Intelligence Analyst, I want to be able to tell them who, what, when, where, why, and how. I want to be able to provide them with specific actionable information, not just a broad warning, which is what many will have if they’re lucky.
‘If the lights go out, then in the first 12 hours we need to increase security in this area and we need to conduct surveillance of these two avenues of approach because that’s most likely where we’ll see the first signs of trouble.’
Wouldn’t you feel a lot more secure if a neighbor had already figured all this stuff out beforehand? Wouldn’t you be a lot more likely to listen to his ideas if he’s the only one who knows what’s going on and is actually prepared with knowledge? Pretty simple, then: be that guy.
If you want to do your homework and begin analyzing your community like an experienced Intelligence Analyst would, then you need to do the following three things:
1. Continue reading this website because I’m going to resume regular posts. I’ll try to pump out two to four solid articles each week.
2. Register for the Intelligence Preparation of the Community webinar here. It’s free, and you’ll get to ask me questions at the end of this live presentation. I’m going to give you actionable information, and if you take the time to do your homework, you’ll probably end up being the guy who knows exactly what to do when the lights do go out.
3. Enroll in the 2015 Lecture Series. At Forward Observer University, we finally have an online members/training area that works and works well. Once you enroll, you’ll have on-demand access to each of the 12 webinars we do this year, PLUS all 12 mini-manuals for the webinars. You can enroll for 50% off right now. I don’t want money to be an issue barring you from access to this information, but I can promise you that the sale won’t last forever.
I’m looking forward to seeing everyone on February 19th at 6pm Pacific/9pm Eastern. Get ready to take notes and carve out some time after the webinar to work on the Action Plan I’ll provide. Do these five things to immediately improve your situational awareness, and be better prepared for anything.”
