The Collapse of the American Economy Has Begun

The Collapse of the American Economy Has Begun

The the analysis below has been contributed by Dave Hodges and was originally published at The Common Sense Show.

Susan Duclos and Stefan Stanford recently interviewed “V” the Guerrilla Economist and the following information was revealed in this landmark interview:

“The process of undermining the US dollar is well on schedule as well; more than 105 countries have decided that the dollar no longer works for them, joining Russia, China and other BRICS nations in leaving the dollar as the entire world comes to the realization that America’s leaders are insane. Their recklessness and evil ways have left tremendous shame upon our nation. Though there has been much manipulation and propping up, but that is only setting us up for the inevitable massive crash.

“V” begins by updating us on recent information that he has received from his 4-Star General source and warns that events are still on schedule, a schedule that he previously warned would leave the US dollar ‘undermined’ by 2015 and the US ceasing to exist as a nation by 2017“.

The interview can be accessed through the following link. I highly recommend listening to this interview.

On the surface, these claims appear to border on hysteria. However, as history has proven, time and time again, that Susan Duclos, Stefan Stanford and “V” are to always be taken seriously when revealing controversial information.

Subsequently, I proceeded to find confirming, or disconfirming evidence, that these claims are accurate and should taken seriously by all Americans. Both the direct and ancillary evidence serves as overwhelming in support of V’s claims and Susan’s reporting.

Halfway to Economic Armageddon

“V’s” claims notwithstanding, the American economy is already in severe danger as we consider the following facts.

There are 35 states in this country in which it is better to accept welfare than work at an entry level job. Much like crack cocaine or heroin addicts, much of our nation is hopelessly addicted to living in the welfare state or on unsustainable levels of credit.

welfare rank

From a micro perspective, the personal economic health of America is abysmal. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, more than 146 million Americans are either “poor” or “low income”. Stunningly, more than 100 million Americans are enrolled in at least one welfare program run by the federal government, not including the massive entitlement programs of Social Security or Medicare. The number of people on food stamps has grown to 47.79 million Americans. In 2008, when Obama first took office, only 32 million Americans were on food stamps. Approximately, 20.2 million Americans spend more than half of their incomes on housing, which represents a 46% increase from 2001. Parents under the age of 30 experience poverty rates consisting of 37 percent. The number of Americans living in poverty has grown to one out of every six US citizens.

The above information could be considered to be the good news. What follows is grim.

Watch the Credit Swap Derivatives

In the United States, credit swap derivatives created national debt totals of over one quadrillion dollars. That is one thousand trillion dollars! The entire GDP of the planet is estimated at $66 trillion dollars. And somehow, in the infinite wisdom of Congress in 2008, we falsely and naively believed that a $750 billion transfer of wealth (i.e., Bailout #1) was magically going to save the economy and the collective futures of the American middle class. Please let me repeat that the most conservative estimate is that the derivatives debt is 10 times greater than the GDP of the entire world. Most economists estimate the number to be 16 times greater that the GDP of the planet!

In short, the debt created by futures speculation is approximately 10-16 times greater than the sum total of the entire wealth on the planet! It would not matter if the debt was only two times the GDP of the planet, we do not have the capacity to pay down this debt. The interest on the debt is growing faster than the rise in national revenue. And we think we are going to climb out of this? Let’s take a moment and discuss the derivatives debt.

Five of the “too big to fail” banks in the United States that have more than 40 trillion dollars in exposure to derivatives. The national debt is sitting at a grand total of almost 18 trillion dollars. The sum of 40 trillion dollars is almost unfathomable.

Credit swap derivatives trading is not too different from betting on baseball or football games. It is gambling, it is a Ponzi scheme and Wall Street bankers should be in jail. However, this is the new economic landscape of America. The name of the game is the “Last American Garage Sale” where these bankers are positioning to steal all the assets possible before the collapse.

credit default swap

Please note that under the category, in the above illustration, “Widgets “R” US Corp“, the banks loan the money. In other words, if this Ponzi scheme fails, the banks which underwrite and guarantee the entire process, will eventually fail!

The credit swap derivatives are bad enough, but when we carry over the economic implications to the health of the banking system, the banks are bordering on total collapse along with all of your saved earnings.

Most Americans Think That Their Deposits Are Safe

Some readers have written to me and have dutifully reminded me that the FDIC is at their bank standing guard over their deposits. How woefully and depressingly ignorant is that statement?

The FDIC does not have the money to cover your deposits as it has only $25 billion in its deposit insurance fund. By law, the FDIC is required to keep a balance equivalent to only 1.15% of insured deposits on hand. Yes, America, that means that less than 2% of your deposits are covered.

Others have pointed out to me that the Dodd-Frank Act (Section 716) now bans taxpayer bailouts of most speculative derivatives activities. You remember the derivatives don’t you? They were the imaginary wealth that was built upon more imaginary wealth but were guaranteed with hard assets backed by the banks. When this house of cards collapsed, it pulled the banks down and led to the series of bailouts which has devastated our economy.

Therefore, when your bank defaults, and it will, the depositors as well as the banks will turn to the FDIC for relief. The FDIC will have no choice but to draw upon its credit line in order to cover a BofA, Wells Fargo and JP Morgan derivatives bust which has been co-mingled with savings account funds. The resulting effect is that this will require a taxpayer bailout to cover the credit line. This will negate the safety from the bailouts that the public thought that they were receiving under the Dodd-Franks bill of no more bailouts.

What very few people are talking about, and as is the case with all credit lines, this money will have to be paid back. Therefore, the coming default of the FDIC, used to cover the derivatives debt, will become the excuse for another taxpayer bailout. And on and on it goes.

collapse-begun-3b

When the last instrument has been looted and then deflated, where do you think that will leave you and your computerized digits that represent the bulk of your self-built financial empire? All of your life, most of you have worked for banker backed interest in some capacity and now, these banksters are stealing back the pittance they paid you in the first place. Where’s Karl Marx when you need him? Bank depositors of the world, unite!

More Bad News

With the banks in debt to the tune of $40 trillion dollars, the pension system is also at risk because the banks and their related financial investment firms underwrote the Credit Swap Derivatives. Moody’s warns in its latest report on the state of public pension systems. As Bloomberg reports, “The 25 biggest systems by assets averaged a 7.45% return from 2004 to 2013, but liabilities tripled over the same period leaving them facing a $2 trillion shortfall as investment returns can’t keep up with ballooning obligations”. The top 25 funds account for 40% of the entire US public pension system. Bloomberg further reports that “The 25 largest U.S. public pensions face about $2 trillion in unfunded liabilities, showing that investment returns can’t keep up with ballooning obligations”, according to Moody’s Investors Service. Americans will be working until they drop dead because, very soon, there will be no such thing as a pension. Very soon, most of these Americans will not have any job to go to.

When this house of cards comes crashing down, how do you think the government will deal with the situation? If you have not listened to V’s interview, I would suggest you do so now.

When Will the Economic Collapse Happen?

The collapse has already started. With 105 nations running from the U.S. dollar as a reserve currency, there is nothing left to back up the dollar. Our currency will hyper-inflate and America’s economy will make the crash of the Weimar Republic look like a picnic.

collapse begun 4
(A German woman in the 1923 Weimar Republic purchasing a loaf of bread. This time is almost upon the American people.)

Certainly, even the most ardent sheep understand what the economic collapse of the Weimar Republic led to. What makes us think things are going to be any different?

collapse-begun-5
(The crash of the Weimar Republic led to this. Can America’s eventual outcome be any different?)

Conclusion

Why did George H.W. Bush build a 100,000 acre ranch in Paraguay? Why is NORTHCOM, a combat organization, engaging in continuing the nonstop urban riot control training? Why are UN military vehicles on our soil? Why did FEMA and DHS schedule 10 disaster drills between September 25th and November 13th? Why are former FEMA and DHS agents, as well as many bankers going into hiding in prepared communities?

Are we to believe that all of these factors are unrelated? It is looking more and more like the bail-out money, which was no more than the private theft of public money, is actually doing what the name implies, it is bailing out corporate executives in advance of the coming crash. America is being forced to fund the getaway gifts for those that have stolen so much from the American people!

Factor in the coming Ebola outbreak and the possibility of an EMP attack, the misery factor immediately and exponentially compounds. The American economy is on fire and the only remnants of what once was is a few hollowed out and charred structures.

Once they have our hard assets, the absolute and final crash and burn of the economy will occur and it will be anarchy in the streets. And more of V’s dire predictions, regarding a post-collapse America will undoubtedly come to pass.

Why We Need The 2nd Amendment Back In Force NOW

Yeah, it won’t come here, they said.  Obama promised.

He lied.

MOORE, Okla. – Officials with the Moore Police Department say the FBI is now involved in the investigation related to a brutal attack of workers at a food distribution plant.

Sgt. Jeremy Lewis says the alleged suspect, 30-year-old Alton Nolen had just been fired when he drove to the front of the business, hit a vehicle and walked inside.

He walked into the front office area where he met 54-year-old Colleen Hufford and began attacking her with a knife.

Sgt. Lewis confirms the type of knife used in the attack is the same kind used at the plant.

Lewis confirms that Hufford was stabbed several times and that Nolen “severed her head.”

Fortunately an off-duty deputy, who happens to be the former CEO of the company, was there.

Said off-duty deputy shot the assailant several times and stopped the attack, but not before Sir Muslim Jackass had killed one woman and was in the process of trying to kill a second.

Here’s the important point: But for that individual there would likely have been many more fatalities.

The problem is that you cannot expect there to be a cop everywhere all the time, and by the time a cop can get there many people will be dead.

The choice to be armed or not should be yours, and the 2nd Amendment says that we all have the right to be armed, carrying concealed or openly as we, and only we, choose, without asking anyone for permission or any sort of “license.”

If you think that ISIS cannot get people into this country, well, guess what — they already have, either by importing them (gee, that’s a very nice insecure border you have there!) or simply by converting people who are already here.

Either way when some jackass is trying to saw off your head there is only one question: Is there anyone, whether you or someone else, who is both willing and possesses the means to stop the assault before you die in the immediate vicinity?

There is only one means known to man that makes all men and women equal in this regard irrespective of their age, physical prowess, size or infirmity.

It is called a gun and we are well beyond the point where we must, as Americans, demand that the original intent as expressed in our Bill of Rights be restored immediately on a nation-wide basis.  No more damned permits, no more roadblocks, no more games and no more bullcrap.  Every willing adult must have their 2nd Amendment right to be able to defend themselves and others in the gravest extreme restored and respected right now.

Period.

Who is going to introduce and demand passage of emergency Federal Legislation to preempt all contrary laws whether local, state or federal and restore The Second Amendment as written — with no ifs, ands or buts about it?

Denninger’s Perspective

He’s right. Again.

Constitution

The Craziness Of A ConCon

I keep getting asked about this and people keep advocating it, so let’s talk about it.

The issue is a Constitutional Convention, with the expressed intent being to return the United States to its Constitutional Roots.

Sounds like a good idea, yes?

Well, it quite arguably is, if you’d like to see the government return to its Constitutional boundaries.

The problem is that this “remedy” isn’t a remedy and if it comes to pass what you want won’t happen.

I know this for a fact and, if you think about it, so do you.

I know what you’re going to say: How can you be so sure?

It’s simple: There is nothing wrong with the Constitution as it sits now. The problem is that it’s not followed.

Let’s just take one example: The Fourth Amendment

It reads:

Amendment IV
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

It does not say:

a) Except when a police officer wants to stop and frisk you.

b) Except when the government thinks you might be a terrorist.

c) Except when someone else has your “papers” because you had to let them have same as an essential part of buying a service from them (e.g. your cell phone “tower” records.)

d) Except when you’re driving while black.

e) Except when you’re driving anywhere, at all, and the government thinks you might have drug money in the car but has no probable cause to believe so.

And on and on and on.

It says shall not be violated, and it further mandates that a warrant may only issue predicated on probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation (not the unsworn word of an unnamed “confidential informant” nor can a dog “swear an oath”) and that the particular place to be searched and the persons or things to be seized must be named. That latter requirement is there so the cops can’t go on fishing expeditions.

Let’s try another one:

Amendment II
A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

It does not say:

a) Except for guns that fire more than one bullet with a single pull of the trigger, unless they were made before a certain date and you pay a license fee.

b) Except for guns that have more than some number of rounds of ammunition in the magazine.

c) Except for guns that have some undesirable physical characteristic, such as looking scary, rifles or shotguns with a barrel shorter than some dimension, or similar.

d) Except for guns that fire a projectile larger than (X), or having characteristics of (X) (e.g. armor-piercing ammo, etc)

e) Except for guns that have been made quieter by the addition of a sound-suppressing device, unless you pay a license fee for same and the local sheriff thinks you’re nice.

f) Except if you don’t have a permit to (buy|carry openly|carry concealed) or otherwise “bear” same.

g) Except if you’d like to buy and take it with you right now (e.g. “waiting period” laws.)

h) Except for rocket launchers.

i) Except for surface-to-air missiles.

j) Except for nuclear arms.

Now wait a second, you say! Those last three are bullcrap in private hands!

Maybe. But if so there is a way to make them unlawful within the Constitution — pass an Amendment. Absent that, ownership of any of the above and the carrying of any of the above, without any sort of permit, is lawful.

Unwise? Maybe. And immaterial. It’s lawful and any law that says otherwise is unconstitutional.

Don’t even get me started on the Tenth Amendment.

I further challenge you to find anywhere in the Constitution where the United States Supreme Court, or any court for that matter, is empowered to re-write or as they like to say, interpret the plain language of said Constitution.

This is the sum total of what is said on same in The Constitution:

Section 1.
The judicial power of the United States, shall be vested in one Supreme Court, and in such inferior courts as the Congress may from time to time ordain and establish. The judges, both of the supreme and inferior courts, shall hold their offices during good behaviour, and shall, at stated times, receive for their services, a compensation, which shall not be diminished during their continuance in office.

Section 2.
The judicial power shall extend to all cases, in law and equity, arising under this Constitution, the laws of the United States, and treaties made, or which shall be made, under their authority;–to all cases affecting ambassadors, other public ministers and consuls;–to all cases of admiralty and maritime jurisdiction;–to controversies to which the United States shall be a party;–to controversies between two or more states;–between a state and citizens of another state;–between citizens of different states;–between citizens of the same state claiming lands under grants of different states, and between a state, or the citizens thereof, and foreign states, citizens or subjects.

In all cases affecting ambassadors, other public ministers and consuls, and those in which a state shall be party, the Supreme Court shall have original jurisdiction. In all the other cases before mentioned, the Supreme Court shall have appellate jurisdiction, both as to law and fact, with such exceptions, and under such regulations as the Congress shall make.

The trial of all crimes, except in cases of impeachment, shall be by jury; and such trial shall be held in the state where the said crimes shall have been committed; but when not committed within any state, the trial shall be at such place or places as the Congress may by law have directed.

So where in there do you find there the power to rip up and rewrite said Constitution?

It’s not there, and it never was.

Where there is legitimate debate over statutory construction let’s have it, and let’s have it there in the Supreme Court. But there is no debate of legitimacy over construction of the 2nd or 4th Amendments. There are excuses for adding clauses that never existed and still don’t, but they’re flatly unlawful irrespective of who pronounces otherwise. Those who claim that technology or other changes in life have made the world a different place have a means to address their concern: Pass an Amendment.

Instead what has happened in the “real world” we live in is that the government will find some thing they wish to do. They know it’s unconstitutional but they do it anyway. Someone sues, after 5 or 10 years it makes its way to the Supreme Court and the government has in the meantime done its level best to stack the court with judges that will rule as it wishes. There is no law if the courts simply ignore what’s in front of them, as occurred with Obamacare where the majority opinion ruled that a statute that was explicitly constructed not to be a tax was in fact a tax but the imposition of such a direct tax is barred from the Federal Government except in proportion to population. In other words you can be (directly) taxed but not in a different amount than someone else. This is why the 16th Amendment was necessary; to lay a tax on someone’s work in proportion to what they made was unconstitutional.

All of this game-playing in the judiciary rests on the thinnest of foundation; so-called judicial comity and stare decisis. That is, the premise that once a decision is made even if blatantly unconstitutional, it is thereafter the foundation of everything that follows and reciprocity and recognition is owed against that (blatantly unlawful) decision.

You can’t fix this with a ConCon or with “more Amendments” because they are subject to the same “interpretation” as has been all of the previous; the only solution is to unwind the previous violence done to the Constitution and then, if appropriate, pass Amendments that further constrain the rights protected by and powers delegated therein.

Those who argue otherwise are fools, and those who refuse to take up the underlying issue and address it head-on are playing with you and are attempting to get you to expend your resources on a false premise to thereby consume your efforts rather than solving the problem.

You can interest me in a ConCon when the First, Second, Fourth and Fifth Amendments are enforced as written — not one second before.

The right place to enforce this is in fact the States. If the States will not do so, then the people have to decide whether we are 50 states or factually one state with 50 names.

You choose but don’t blow smoke up my ass with this garbage about a “ConCon” fixing anything because it won’t.

As a Kid of 12, I had already labeled myself a “Survivalist”. I watched “The Day After” and knew I had to learn how to survive such a catostrophic event.  I had a desire to learn all I could about every facet of self sufficiency, whether It was fighting the Ruskies (Ala, “Red Dawn”) with small unit tactics, and running a highly efficient combat rifle, or gardening, and hydroponics. My first issue of a survival magazine, did nothing but wet my appetite to fulfill these desires. Here’s a pic of that first issue (yes, I still have it, ask Mosby)

DSCN1180

The term “Survivalist” became a term that was used, abused and distorted by liberals and their minions in the 80’s, and was used anytime a group with nefarious intentions (neo nazi’s, etc.) was in the news. I remember watching a 20/20 segment on “Survivalists”, and even…
