Raven’s Wood Enterprises, LLC, ( www.ravenswoodenterpises.com), in conjunction with DTG, will offer a mid-Spring Basic Survival Course approximately 24 hours in length that will take participants through basic skill sets in an extremely primitive environment.
Here’s the course description from their site: Basic Survival – This 24 hour course (Saturday morning through Sunday morning) takes the participant through basic surival training and orienteering – the first step into the world of self-reliance! Shelter built and lived in by the student, fires are made by the student using skills learned so that food can be prepared, and basic hygiene is performed in the field. It’s not easy, but when you’re done, you’ll know you can do what you need to if the chips are ever down! All survival rations and 1 gallon of potable water are provided for each student.
Cost:$200 per person (2 person minimum – groups of 4 or more – cost $150 per person)
You can reach Raven’s Wood at firstname.lastname@example.org. Time permitting, they will also conduct familiarization training for the Lensatic Compass, map reading, and terrain association.
Get the training while you can.
